Continuing Education

IHA is pleased to offer up to 15 continuing education units* to participants that attend the IHA Conference.

Credits are available from the following CE accrediting organizations:

  • CHES/MCHES (Category 1) from NCHEC, Provider #SEP4631
  • CPH Recertification Credits from National Board of Public Health Examiners'
  • The California Board of Registered Nursing, CEP# 11933
  • The Medical Library Association
  • The National Association of Social Workers

*Please note, the amount of credits you receive depends on the sessions you attend and the type of credit you are seeking



How to Apply for Continuing Education (CE) Credits

Here is how you can obtain your CE credits:

Certified Public Health Professionals

When you register for the conference, please indicate that you are seeking CPH credits. At the conference, you must sign-in and sign-out each day you attend. After the conference, you will receive an email with a link to an evaluation form to complete and submit in order to receive credits. You will receive a certificate of completion via email that you must report the CPH Recertification and Reporting System portal.

Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES/MCHES)

When you register for the conference, please indicate your degree as MCHES/CHES and enter your license number. At the conference, you must sign-in and sign-out each day you attend. After the conference, you will receive an email with a link to an evaluation form to complete and submit in order to receive credits. We will email your attendance certificate directly to you and report your category 1 units to the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc.

Librarians

Make sure to indicate on your registration form that you are seeking MLA CE credit. At the conference, you must sign-in and sign-out each day you attend. After the conference, you must complete 2 evaluations to receive credit. You will receive an email with a link to the conference evaluation form after the conclusion of the conference. Once we receive your conference evaluation, we will give you the enrollment code to complete a course evaluation and claim our MLA CE certificate through MEDLIB_ED. Please note that you must complete this evaluation within 30 days from when the conference ends.

Nurses

Please indicate that you are seeking nursing credits when you register for the conference. At the conference, you must sign-in and sign-out each day you attend. After the conference, you will receive an email with a link to an evaluation form that you must submit in order to receive credits. We will email your attendance certificate, which you need to send directly to the California Board of Registered Nursing to receive CEUs. Keep this certificate for 4 years after the conference in case you are audited by the California Board of Registered Nurses.

Other Healthcare Professionals

Non-physician healthcare professionals who complete an accredited activity will receive a certificate of attendance. You may submit this certificate to your own credentialing board (nursing, pharmacy, etc.) to see if you can obtain transferable CEUs from your board.


Disclosure Statement

All relevant financial relationships of speakers, moderators, and planners will be disclosed to participants prior to the conference.
